From a childhood steeped in the landscapes of southwest France, tothe world of dance and then Parisian fashion, creativity has always been a part of Rémy Allamand's life.Today, he expresses himself with his hands through sculpted piecesand paintings.
His sculptural work is inspired by old eco-building constructiontechniques. Using natural materials: clay-lime-hemp to shape his works.
The sculptures are not fired in a kiln like traditional ceramics.Theyare raw but stabilized in order to limit the ecological impact. No energy and no chemicals are used in the process. They are covered with several layers of a limeplaster and then polished to solidify the material and give it its final shiny appearance. A plant based wax is applied to protect the sculpture.
Many of his sculptures are inspired by religious items, churches and temples. They are “relics”like little treasures from the past.

Condition: Excellent. Some natural nuances and imperfections due to the hand-made nature of this piece.
